Mobile Applications

Multimap offers a suite of mapping, travel directions and 'where's my nearest' services via mobile both as extensions to our internet mapping services and as standalone solutions for mobile-only applications. Following is an example of our Storefinder service, as provided to users of Vodafone live! with 3G.

Multimap also works with partners and major network providers to offer customer-branded SMS Storefinder and Map2Mobile applications, which can improve the way that customers interact with your business, drive them to your doors, and generate revenue.

Multimap's SMS Storefinder application allows your customers to find our where your outlets or other physical properties are, while they are out and about. They can search for the nearest location using a postal or ZIP code, or be automatically 'found' by LBS. Multimap then sends a map showing your location(s) plus location details to the customer's mobile device. Multiple branded icons and map styles are available.

Multimap's Map2Mobile application allows consumers to send a full-color, interactive map from websites to their mobile devices, enabling them to take your location information 'on the road' with them. It is a simple 'push' mechanism to replace the printed map. The application's templates allow messages to be configured for each SMS and WAP element (including a confirmation SMS to the handset before sending the map), and the service is easily added to an existing mapping or locator service.
