Portal Service

The Portal Service contains the full functionality of the Multimap consumer web site itself. Maps cover every scale from regional to street level, and include full zoom in/out and pan N,S,E,W functionality. This service has been shown to drive traffic and retain user interest. Following is an example of the service implemented by Honda.

1: Portal Search

• User enters details (street name, town or postcode) and selects the type of dealership in which he/she is interested (e.g., new car showroom, approved used cars, or body/paint repair outlet).
• A list of the dealerships nearest the location specified, and of the dealer type selected, is listed on-screen.

2: Results

• User selects the dealership of interest to access a detailed map pinpointing its exact location.
• User can zoom in/out and pan N, S, E, W.
